Once up at Battle Creek, cell service will be infrequent. Don't worry - incase of emergency , we can get to service quickly. If you need to access cell service during the week, we can accommodate you. We do not have wifi. We consider visits to the ranch to be a great time to unplug from our devices.
No! Guests of all experience levels are welcome. However, we encourage you to consider a few riding lessons before your trip to Montana, especially if you are a complete beginner, as they will allow you to be more effective on your horse.
We like to say that if you don't like the weather in Montana, wait five minutes. While our August weather is usually sunny and beautiful, the weather can change dramatically and often. Layering clothes is always a good idea out here, and we tell our guests to make sure they bring warm socks, a rain coat, and a warm sweater at the minimum.
We can happily accommodate most needs. We do need to know ahead of your stay please.
It varies each day. Be assured, you will get in plenty of riding. If you ever feel that you don't want to ride, that is not a problem. You can relax in the lodge or take part in another ranch activity if you like.
Yes. Each cabin has a shower and a bathroom.
Yes, but supplies are limited in Townsend. We recommend bringing as much with you as you can.

We divide guests into groups of 4-6 people per wrangler. We try to group people according to riding ability.
