Welcome to the new site for Montana High Country Cattle Drive!

photo 1 finalMontana,
On a good day you can see forever,
On a clear day, you can see all the way to heaven…

Join us for an unforgettable, and very genuine week in Big Sky Country as you help us move our cattle to the summer pastures of the Big Belt Mountains.

With stunning views of the Castle, Crazy and Bridger Mountains for you backdrop, it will be a week to remember. You are a crucial part of the drive’s success. We’ll match you with a horse that fits your riding experience and assist you with riding skills and basics. You’ll be paired witha small group and a wrangler that will teach you about cows, how to work them, and will help make your time on the drive unique and personal. Not every day will be riding intensive and you always have the option to stay in camp, help with daily ranch tasks, and fish, hike, play games, or simply relax.

If you want to give it a try, you can learn to cook in a Dutch oven and help your group serve up a mean. You can fish for trout, learn how to rope and two-step, and enjoy local entertainment. When it’s quittin’ time, put your feet up after a five-star meal and
enjoy your accomplishments of the day. Experience a soak in a historic hot springs and relax by
the campfire under the stars. We’ll cap off the week with a barn dance – showcasing your newly-
learned dance skills is of course, optional.

Montana High Country Cattle Drive invites you to leave the pavement behind for a truly
memorable week on a working Montana cattle ranch!
